The batteries on this bike are Ener1 brand and are good for a minimum of 1500 cycles (as much as 2000 cycles). At 100 miles minimum per charge that is 150,000 miles. That's 6 years of riding 100 miles per day, 5 days per week! Replacement cost has been dropping quickly and will probably continue. The battery replacement right now is about $8k AND there are no "tune-ups".
This is a $39K motorcycle that can go 218mph. It's not for everyone but it gives a taste of what electric power can do!

Main draw back to battery powered cars and bikes is the battery replacement costs once their 3-4 year service life ends and you need all new batteries. One reason most fully electric cars have always been lease, with the Tesla being one of the few you buy outright.
