In the second part of the interview Michael Melendrez is starting to share his insights in how to re-mediate salty and clay dirt, and how to transform it into fertile soil. Cornerstone of this process is the genesis of humus in the soil. Also Michael explains the difference between humus, and carbon storage such as terra prieta or compost.

Ashes are a carbon.I've been spreading my burned up charcoal and it seems to help the yard.
