Japan Safety, a company which offers rental service of temporary equipment and storage containers for construction sites, devised a portable water-free toilet.
The Wrappon Toilet is an automatic wrapping toilet that is extremely useful over short-term periods in disaster situations. Ｂy using a special film for the wrap, this toilet automatically wraps up excretory substances after every use. Since a coagulant is used, excretory substance is wrapped and sealed odor-free. This also saves the time of cleaning up the toilet. During the big earthquake that hit the Noto Peninsula in 2007, 50 Wrappon toilets were used for emergency assistance.
