    In order for inflation to devalue a currency by 50% in 8 years, there would have to be about 5.4% inflation per year. In order for currency to devalue by 50% in 5 years, inflation would be 8%. Our average yearly inflation stays between 2 and 3%, with a short period of deflation in 2009.
