@gakusei3 Because of the fact that the Jurai blood was probably watered down from inter-species breeding. and Tenchi will more than likely live a longer than human life....but will probably not live as long as his grandfather will live.

@gakusei3 Well If you watch the last episode of the original tenchi muyo, Yosho's true form was revealed as a young man. His "old version" was just a disgise. His tree from the ship, Funaho, continue to supply his youthful apperance and his life dispite the fact that the tree was rooted on earth soil. I don't know about the grand mother though...
