Mark sets up a ballon service to fly over the Menwith Hill US Spy listening post in Britain. Menwith Hill was formerly used during the Cold War by the US to spy on the Russians. It's now used to spy on me and you, over 100,000 phone calls are monitored Europe wide at any one time.

@GhibliFan1 no, if there is no necessity, they do not. More senior members/those with genuine responsibilities do know however. You think we'd allow them to conduct such activities without the information fed back to UK Intel and govt?, then you truly are naive. You still failed to answer my question though, WHY do people with no necessary role in intel and defense need to know?

How is having something to hide beside the point?, it's the only reason I can see anyone getting up tight about it.

As for Amazon, on the documentary 'Erasing David' they kept a profile on him the size of a Yellow pages, you're gullible to have never challenged such commercially available information. What always makes me wonder is of what concern is Menwith to you if you have nothing to hide?

Trust or not, you hardly have a choice in the system of an MEDC anyway. Don't like it? better get offline/cancel that card then.

The fact the goings on at Menwith Hill are not even accountable to MP's or European MP's should be a concern to everyone (questions in parliament frequently draw blanks). Even the relatives of people who work there are told misinformation...i.e. a crock of shit. So I'm afraid you only know what the rest of us know about the place...nothing. And you think you have enough to place TRUST in them? LOL...talk about gullible. Amazon know my DVD tastes and my credit card No. Big whoop!

I'd be far more concerned with the information the likes of Youtube, Amazon.co.uk, Facebook, your bank, the DVLA and any insurance providers you have keep on you. Write to them and request the records they keep on you under the Freedom of Information act. You might be in for a nasty shock.

Menwith Hill are there for your security, corporations use this profiled information to market/profile you. I know who I prefer handling my information!

someone doesnt know their history very well,without command of the air (which britain had post 'battle of britain') around the UK the germans had no hope of invasion (and subsequent domination/speaking german),a fact admitted by the germans themselves....watch the "world at war" my friend,not quite as dramatic as band of brothers but a fuck of alot more detailed.go play in traffic
