BW: Rhinox (Terrorize)

The Predacons have captured Rhinox, and Megatron uses his latest MacGuffin to turn him into a Pred. Megatron underestimates Rhinox though, and hijinx ensue. Apparently, with Predacon programming, sweet, harmless Rhinox (although he does wield the Chainguns of Doom) becomes an ambitious, manipulative and destructive bot, taking out almost the entire Predacon team single-handedly in a bid to take over.

Oddly, Beast Machines shows that Megatron doesn't learn from the experience.

Actually, Megatron did learn from this experience. He hardwired into Tankor's programming so that it would be impossible for Tankor to try to kill him. Yess.

Actually in Beast Machines, Megatron kinda does. Correct me if I'm wrong but when Megatron reprogrammed Rhinox's spark into Tankorr, didn't he also hardwire him to be unable to be unable to attack Megatron as a fail-safe?

When you post questions that I know you know the answer to (I know from other vids that you know exactly who Airachnid is), you seem to be messing with people. And when you post random, unrelated replies, derailing a comment thread, it seems like trolling.

Actually, there's a simple explanation. The Transmuter was probably designed to shut down the "heroic" qualities in Rhinox and replace them with Predacon values. Problem is, without his humility and loyalty, and with a hefty helping of ambition and amorality, nothing's stopping Rhinox from turning on his new team and making a bid for leadership.

Also, I don't suppose you could post the clip where Megatron actually realizes his main flaw when Rhinox uses it? "Sometimes Predacons gloat too much!"

A Sub-par episode in terms of plot, but it was interesting to see Rhinox as a predacon.
