I agree he is very fucked up and deserves to be locked up for the rest of his miserable life... not put to death tho.... death is too easy... as for him not being criminally responsible thats bullshit.... he just has a very good fucking lawyer and the system just let him off... which is bullshit... his family deserves more justice then that.. if i was that judge i would never let him see the light of day ever again, he would be in a 6 by 6 room for the remainder of his days.. no sun or anything.

@MrNakedallthetime Schizophrenia messes with parts of the brain that regulate things like understanding if something is wrong with them. Schizophrenia is a complicated illness. They are not morally corrupt, they have chemical imbalances that need to be taken care with.
If the man was a sociopath on the other hand, putting him in jail would be more suitable since they understand what they are doing is wrong but just simply don't care.

@MrNakedallthetime Sometimes a phase of "denial" can last a very long time. "Mental illness does not give one the licence to kill"....That's right, but there's nothing anyone can do about this. The only way to really prevent the severely ill from harming anyone is to detain ALL of them. Although crime is particularly higher with mental patients, it would be immoral to suspect and detain them because not all with severe mental illness commit crimes.
