The horns, the jazz infusion, terry kath and his guitar..it just doesn't get any better. this was Chicago during the optimum time...or it's maybe that I'd love time to go back to then, when musicians actually had to have talent with vocals, instruments, ability to write music...

Got to meet Danny Seraphine in Indy a couple of years ago. Told him that though I took up the trumpet because of Herb Alpert I kept up with it because of Chicago, and that we marched 25 or 6 to 4 in 1971. However, I forgot to ask him what the time was between 4:01 until 4:21. Could never figure it out. In a band of good musicians Danny was the best.
