Often we are asked to remove moss from composition roofs. Our policy is to treat the moss and let it die off naturally using safe non pressure washing methods. I made this quick video to educate homeowners on different roof cleaning techniques. Clearly you can see the damage and premature wear caused by brushing moss off of a composition roof.

This particular homeowner needed to have the moss removed ASAP. His insurance would not insure his home because of the moss he had on his roof. After a consultation with the homeowner it was decided that even though brushing the moss causes premature wear, he felt it was best to remove them moss because of time constraints.
