  • My favorite compressor !!

  • Only problem is..You didn't level match. On that last part between on/off.

The Tone Press Unity gain is between 2:30 and 3:00.

The way you left it @ noon makes the unit sound smaller when you engage it.

  • @Andromelian as far as i know, it doesn't effect the tone, its not that kind of pedal, it just keeps the volume for every note hit the EXACT same volume so there aren't any spikes in sound just in case you play a little louder or softer then you should have

  • Sorry for my ignorance, but what does the compresor? I barely heard the difference. Can anyone help me to figure out what it does to the tone?

  • is this good for acoustic-electric guitars?

  • Anyone compare the Barber Tone Press to the Diamond Compressor? Those two are the ones that interest me the most....

  • @MrCoenE very true...i own one...you need to place it on about 2 o clock to get an equal output level

  • By default the trim pot inside is turned all the way up. So pulling it back will take some top end off.. I use it all the way up on gtr..but I use it rolled back a bit when tracking bass with the Tone press into a Linden EQ.

  • @Faderjockey I noticed the same thing.

  • Came here to check out the pedal, now I want to learn some of these licks.
