Diese Sandmännchen Version wurde doch ausschliesslich in der DDR gesendet. Der heutige Vorspann hat nur eine Strophe und anderes Arrangement.

I too grew up with Sandmänchenn. I was a Teacher's Assistant in an American High School's German Class when I first saw this Movie. I had to excuse myself to cry after this Scene.

I'm not German, I'm Aussie as well, but I have lived in Germany, the first time I saw the sandmännchen was when I was 13 on the satellite tv, for some reason we had all the german channels and I kept watching then... But with the years I forgot about it, last year I moved to East Germany, and I got to see it once again, it is still shown on telly everyday around 7 in order to tell the children that it's bedtime! the actual one you guys see in this video it's the one from East Germany, there use

the most touching part is just after, wenn Alex gets to talk to his father the first time and his children "understand" that this bloke next to them is their halfbrother.

I'm Australian. When I first saw "Goodbye Lenin" I had never heard of Sanmannchen. It's beautiful.
