  • Yeah I see your point in retrospect bates. I guess it's more just me that couldn't care less if it were a pic of Bush with a Halo or a stupid look on his face. Being Australian probably gives me more of a sense of indifference then anything.

  • I actually clicked over from Citizen Tube's video response to this. I was interested and wanted to learn more. When I saw the photo of Bush, it was clear that Darfur wasn't its only agenda. DrLemur, you're wrong. What would motivate half the political population of the US if their alienated from the true issue by a not so in aqueous photo? Republicans have already been beat down for liberating the oppressed.

  • The US is great at starting pre-emptive wars. Then, national sovereignty is not a concern, but when it comes to genocide in a region where the OIL industry is concerned, we dont do anything. Obviously, the government of this country would let the UN be incharge, then. The UN that is influenced by the P-5 b/c of wealth and Nuclear weapons.UN will debate until the genocide is over; until hundreds of thousands of civilians are killed, like the holocaust and the rwandan genocide...

  • We'll have to agree to disagree on that one Arctic. I wouldn't go as far as saying it makes their intentions suspect. And I definitely don't think it makes the video ineffective as the Bush photo is hardly the point of the video. I've seen actual posed photo's of Bush that look far more simian then that one anyway. They could have been far less flattering then they were.

  • Don't be stupid DrLemur, I am not one to ignore the Ethnic African Genocide at the hands of Government back Arab militias - trust me. I know more about it than the average person. The Bush photo choice is stupid and distracting, negates the vid makers sincerity making his/her/their intentions suspicious.

  • If anyone was stupid enough to dislike this video merely on the basis of the photo of Bush and therefore decided it would be a great idea to ignore the genocide.. they are ineffective people, and the "movement" would likely be better off without them.

  • The object of any political movement is to try and get as many people to join as possible. That includes the Republicans. If they don't like your video, your video is inneffective.

  • Only if your a republican.

  • I disagree. The Bush photo choice discredits the vid.

  • "The 7,000 African Union (AU) peacekeepers deployed to Darfur have proved too small and ill-equipped a force to prevent much of the killing. In September 2006, the UN Security Council voted to replace the AU peacekeepers with 20,000 UN troops, but the resolution required the consent of the Sudanese government, which President al-Bashir categorically refused."
