What's the square feet size of your apartment? I'm about to move in together with my bf to an apartment of 55 square meters, that's about 180 square feet, and I'm trying to get a mental picture of the size of it before seeing the actual apartment (it's brand new and not done yet)...

How much is your rent? Before I moved to my grandparents house in Nara I had a cozy little apartment with a living area of 5 1/2 tatami which was bigger than most my friends' haha.

Sorry but this guy looks like a slob. First of all, he is bound to have roaches as the way he cooks and puts the spatula directly on the counter instead of a little plate. Then the sink has dirty dishes.

@delbertmon They vary a little. I had a larger room but the bed was actually in the room, not in a loft... I think I would have preferred a loft bed so that the room felt more like a living area rather than a bedroom. Have the paper thin walls gotten to you yet? My neighbour had alot of female company... :S
But after 2 years, I've been out of Leopalace since Jan this year. First I lived in a huge 2LDK for barely 2 months. But I moved cities and now live in a decent sized 1LDK.

What prefecture? I've stayed here about a year and can't complain much except the dripping sinks and cockroaches in the summer. And the brutally cold winters sleeping up in the tiny loft.
But that's Japan.
