It's time to go back in time with NextG! This series of vintage advertisements, promos, and bumpers was captured from a recording of the 1965 thriller "I Saw What You Did" that aired on April 28, 1987 on WFLX, channel 29, in West Palm Beach, who had just joined the Fox network as a charter affiliate. I hope you enjoy it thoroughly. (This footage was archived from the original VHS tape to DVD, and the footage was then ripped from the DVD using MacTheRipper software. Thanks to NextGeneration Enterprises, a company spun off from the original NextG Project that is now owned by Cameo Films' parent entity, for providing us with this extremely rare footage.)
PART 10:
1. End of the film.
2. Brief promo for the 8:00 Movie, including rare WFLX station ID.
3. "The Star-Spangled Banner" featuring the Blue Angels flying squadron. This version, to my knowledge, has never been seen before on YouTube. I'm not sure who performs the SSB itself, so any input on this would be most appreciated. :)
4. Sign-off announcement featuring another SSB film with the Iwo Jima Memorial and the same music used on the Encore Cinema to-commercial bumper. WFLX continues to be headquartered at the same address. Murray Green apparently retired as general manager a few years ago; until his resignation a short editorial segment called "Afterthought" aired after the WPEC-produced Ten O'Clock News. In September 1998, Malrite merged with Raycom Media, who owns the station to this day. This sign-off was obviously produced prior to the launch of Fox, as WFLX is still referred to as an independent station (although longtime NBC affiliate WSVN in Miami initially declared its 1989 switch to Fox as becoming an "independent," as Fox did not program weeknights at the time).
UPDATE: I did get in contact with J. Alan Wall (SignOffsGuy) who runs a fantastic site called TV-Signoffs.com. A non-watermarked version of this video is now uploaded there; see below.

This movie also aired on Channel 29's afternoon movie at 12:30 that same day

I saw this on a low power station called WCEA-TV in Boston, which is owned by Peter Cuenca, the owner of a newspaper called "La Semana." It was played following the sign-off announcement and a video of the Puerto Rican national anthem. That anthem featured overhead shots of various locations of Puerto Rico.
