  • You are sure these are from the 1st CAV? That guy looks like he is wearing a M1955 Marine body armor, but maybe I am mistaken. Cool video never the less.

  • @LtHavoc1983 You could be right. The caption on the footage which is from combat camera says "OPERATION PEGASUS (1ST AIR CAV DIV)." April 1968. Pegasus was an army operation to relieve Marines at Khe Sanh. So it could be a Marine in the footage. Anymore info is welcomed.

  • @militaryvideocom wait look in the beginning at his cover is that a 101st eagle?

  • @mikepasek hard to tell for sure!

  • The Marines didn't have any Quad 50, neither did the 1st Cav Div. The closest unit from Khe Sanh equipped with such weapons was Battery G, 65th Artillery, 108th Artillery Group.

  • @Boonierat1972 You are probably right, (see more info at top of page) although I found a citation that shows 44th Artillery, 108th Artillery Group.

    Co., C. 2nd/32nd Inf., 7th Inf., Div (Korea 68-69)

  • Matrix revolution

  • I wonder how much different these guns are from the flakvierlings of WW2. Did I spell that right? You know, the guns on the Wirbelwinds? They also remind me of the guns on the GLA quad cannons. AA of course, which is odd because did we really need AA like this in Nam? It makes sense that they would be used against infantry. The fact that Vietnam was msotly dense jungle probably didn't help its performance out much since there were plenty of trees to hide behind.l

  • @offlineri

but it doesn't look very sophisticated...

  • powerful shit!

  • @RoadCaptainEntertain ...You're quite welcome, have a nice day!!

  • @superhornet69 Why thank you for the kind reply dickhead.

  • @RoadCaptainEntertain ....It was a joke, dumbass. My hat is off to you for stating the obvious...LOL!

  • @superhornet69 The POTUS was seven years old at the time, much too young to be either a Community Organizer, teaching Constitutional Law at the Univ. of Chigago or manning a .50 Cal. in 'Nam.

    Back to school with you.
