Lend Me A Tenor by Ken Ludwig Playing at Country Playhouse in Houston Texas

In 1930's Cleveland, The Cleveland Opera Company has hired Tito Merelli to open their grand opera season. Merelli, an Italian tenor of great renown arrives late to the hotel and is put under the care of Max, an oft-overlooked assistant who is charged with preparing "Il Stupendo", as Merelli is known on stage, for the gala event. Ducking a long train of admirers who seek to hitch their own fortunes to Merelli's fame, Max must find a way to get "Il Stupendo" to the stage no matter what.
