This is without a doubt one the lamest refutations of athiesim on youtube, go read some theology then go study some philosohy and organize your arguments or case better. Your not helping Christians any with this, and your definately not going to change the minds of the athiest. If your offended go pray on it.

I believe this being a premise of many things including "religion" that was created "in those days". The influence and disparity has been an evil of mankind since.

Our desire to maintain cognitive consistency is extremely powerful. We don't like cognitive dissonance and it's easier to squash down new beliefs than change old ones. If you haven't already, read "When Prophecy Fails" by Leon Festinger.

@FJoeForty May Science deliver people from their own bondage and self loathing. May people who are lost and without a true self identity, finally stand up and take responsibility for their own ill works, and the pain they cause others.....not because they are ashamed, not because they want to be saved, or have some family reunion in the sky....but because they have a brain and a clearly provable set of scientific guidelines that suggest people shouldn't live like an insect, or act like a lion.

Atheism is not bitter, or defiant, angry or lost. Atheism is happy, and at peace. Atheism embraces science and discovery and marvels at the splendor of all things that are larger and more impressive than any fairytale or miracle found in the Bible. Science supports the moral imperative better than any theology. Christians are not at peace, they worry, they strive for some outward source of acceptance and protection. They are afraid, constantly wary of the Devil. They are busy... being confused.

An interesting display of arrogance and delusion. Without a foundation of extreme narcissism, religion has no fertile ground. The visions people see with the god helmet, or on psychoactive substances, in stress, faith etc. depend on the ego. The more egotistical the more delusional the experience.
