I've heard this is the largest organized ride in the USA with an estimated 30,000 motorcycles.
The ride begins in Pompano and ends in Sunrise with the primary route being I-95 South and I-595 West. The interstate is shutdown between 9:45am and 1pm to allow the motorcycles time to run. It is about 23 miles of interstate and the whole route is police escorted.
I used the time lapse video to take a one hour ride and make it about two minutes. It's fast and a bit annoying, but it shows the route.

is there a forced speed limit during the ride? and that is awesome, i might try to make it down there next year, i have family at ft. lauderdale.

There is no speed limit. The average is 35 mph with highs around 60 and lows of 5-10 mph. There can be quite a bit of starting and stopping where there are crowds. It is fun nonetheless.
