DETECTIVES RELEASE COMPOSITE SKETCH IN HOMICIDE CASE
(Palm Bay)—Detectives are hoping a composite sketch of a possible suspect in an unsolved homicide will generate new information that will help solve the crime. The victim, Kenneth Smith, 42, was shot to death on January 26th in front of the home he was temporarily residing in located at 107 White Road. A witness came forward early in the investigation and provided a description of one of the suspects. At the time a computer-generated composite sketch turned out to be of little resemblance to what the witness described. Detectives then sought the assistance of a forensic artist based out of Orlando. Working with the witness again, a new sketch was generated that more accurately depicts the potential suspect. "We've been following a number of leads since the homicide occurred," said Detective Michael Pusatere. "However, we still need more information in order to move forward."
At the time of the homicide, the witness states two black males came to the home inquiring about a vehicle for sale. When the victim stepped outside, he was shot and the suspects fled the scene.
Anyone with information should contact the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and in this case can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $15,000.
