The Moray Eel already must have been envenomated. The sea snake is one of the most venomous snakes that exist on this planet. The venom paralyzes the victim. I guess that is why the Moray Eel could not place a real harmful bite on the snake anymore.

bad enough to get bitten die then eattenbut to get eaten and not be dead yet sheesh how much does that suck.
I couldn't stay long enough (drift dive:)) but the snake probably won, and digested for a looong time. I've read somewhere that sea snakes actually feed on moray eels, even though these images seem against nature.
