So...I watch these Arlene/Jessica scenes, and I'm thinking "Ooh. Looks like we've got an opportunity here for character enrichment. Jessica has to come to terms with the fact that so many people now fear her, and Arlene could go through an arch wherein she warms up to Jessica and learns that vampires can be diverse." Then True Blood says "Ehhh...fuck this shit. Go back to the fairy being captured by the evil vampire king and being rescued by her noble boyfriend."

love jessica, but arlene is a good character. she sort of represents all the ignorance and single mindedness of the vampire-haters but the way she projects her views is just so funny and entertaining! Cant help but love her character!
