A cannon for firing eggs for our family "whose machine can throw and egg the furthest" contest. The electrolysis cell in the bottom splits water into hydrogen and oxygen, which flow up into the combustion chamber where they're contained by a piece of aluminium foil. After 20 minutes there's loads of fuel ready, so a quick spark, and bye bye egg. This is made out of pieces of PVC tubing and duct tape, and fires an egg about 600 feet (actually maybe further, but we never found the egg from the best shot).

  • @hyunchoi98 its actually H2 and O2 both of the elements are diatomic meaning they exist as pairs. the reaction would be 2H2+O2--->2H2O

  • isn't it H2 + O

    instead of H + O2?
