some Animaniacs episodes were animated in Japan by Telecom Animation Film, a studio which belongs to TMS, at the time, Telecom worked mostly on foreign productions, the animators adopted a similar style to western animation, I listed in this video the animators who directed the animation of the episodes.
Note:
- Kazuhide Tomonaga is also an animator in some Lupin III (2nd series) episodes and worked on "The Castle of Cagliostro" and "The Fuma Conspiracy" movies
- Atsuko Tanaka is an animator who woked in most of Studio Ghibli movies.

  • i have a question.when TMS did the animation for some episodes.were they responsible for the character design and color as well,

  • the character design came from the american staff, but I think TMS did the colors with the animation as well.

  • I hope you can do a follow up on this with Tiny Toons episodes TMS did.

  • well, it would be harder, unlike Animaniacs, there is not the japanese animators on the credits.

  • I wish every episode could look as good as the TMS episodes...

  • In general, staff crediting system in US TV animation is really crappy. Wouldn't you say so?

  • TMS's "Animaniacs" animation was very cool and stylish.

  • What episode is the last scene in '33?

  • What episode is that

  • Some of the Best sketches (or shorts) had TMS work on them. Startoons and Freelancers New Zealand were great too and Wang wasn't bad. But TMS was far and away the best. Their animation really helped sell the jokes. Pinky and the Brain needed more TMS goodnesss, the reason "Pavlov's Mice" is so funny is because in part due to the awesome animation.

  • It depends. DiC used TMS and other Japan studios for it's work on Inspector Gadget, Heathcliff (personal fav) and Ghostbusters and they gave the animators credit. It was just Disney and Warners that didn't do it in detail.

  • "animation staff: THEM JAPS DID IT, OKAY?"

  • It's amazing that TMS Entertainment helped Warner Bros. Animation and Amblin Entertainment out with these episodes before it made Sonic X in 2003.

  • Yes It is.

  • Maybe.

  • WOW! Really? The Animators made in Japan?
