The Zapotec Eagle Warrior is replacing Saint Langinus who was the Centurion that stabbed Jesus Christ in the side using the Holy Spear which here is Snake Shaped in order to represent the Mitological Mesoamerican teacher, The Feathered Serpent "QUETZALCOATL"
In the Medieval Golden Legend the touch of Jesus's blood cures the Centurion's blindness, he later became a Monk and was declared Saint...
