Changing the scene is absolutely pointless! Why would he "wait" someone to shot first! There's even so little time between the shots no one could be so fast to be able to react it.
If we think even further: In episode IV we see Han Solo trying to shoot Darth Vader in the dining room. There he didn't hesitate to pull the gun first! These things just blew my mind everytime! Why oh why!

If you watch the shot over and over again you see how terribly edited the view of Han's upper body is to show him moving over to one side. It doesn't even look like his face. and with a gun pointed steadily at someone point blank, you would never be aiming at his head. This scene doesn't even make sense in the way they edited it.
