The Hillary Trail, an adventurous four day, three night tramp, connects a network of existing regional park tracks and basic backpacker campgrounds through the native landscapes of the Waitakere Ranges. Named after the legendary explorer Sir Edmund Hillary, it epitomises the sense of adventure and personal achievement that Sir Ed himself championed and was renowned for. It's no walk in the park!

@meow3585 That's one of the great things about the trail - walking the track is free, you just pay for camping (currently $5 per person per night). So you get a four-day wilderness tramping experience for $15.
