CHAN:In Bangkok today fire broke out at the Burmese Embassy. There are no reported deaths or injuries related to the early morning blaze. Police are investigating the fire's cause.
[Chanvit Pumpo, Chief Police Investigator]:"I may have to investigate first before I can say what happened, before that I need to ask the embassy for permission." The embassy is located in a busy business district of Bangkok. It has been the venue for many peaceful demonstrations against the military rulers in Burma. The fire comes one day after a donor-pledging conference where the junta was promised nearly $50 million U.S. dollars in cyclone aid. Millions are still in need of relief supplies in the devastated cyclone region.
