In this video, Sam from http://www.professionalfleet.com is explaining what to ask when getting a radiator or transmission flush. You don't want to be paying for one service but getting a lesser service. Watch this video and beware so you are not getting ripped off.

  • The car maker does not recomend a transmission flush its actually bad for the vehicle

  • @CptGitRdun Did you actually watch the video? He didn't say anything at all about "once the wear is there there's no point in changing fluids". I suggest you watch the video more closely. If you get the same message again, double check your comprehension skills because your statement is grossly inaccurate.

  • @nonassumsit Lol,yes a trans the min you mess with,that it.

  • @nonassumsit hmm breath in breath out relax your mind now repeat breath in breath out then just pull the trigger put down the key board and walk away

  • anyone that believes this jackass doesnt need a vehicle to drive. did he seriously just say some transmissions take 16 to 17 quarts of gear oil? he must be doing trans flushes on some fuckn earth movers. i dont know any transmission that takes over 4 gallons of gear oil lmao.

  • I get you on the 90 to 95%. I just want to know what to call it when I inquire at a place that does tranny service. Maybe flush sounding too aggresive? Exchange flowing slowly?

I have a 99 Volvo V70 (bought used) I got the service record on it. Tranny fluid was changed

at 92,000. It now has 116,000. I don't notice any slippage. I'd like to put synthetic fluid in it.

  • @classic287 I'll be honest, a small amount of old fluid will remain in the trans because it mixes slightly. There is a clear tube on my shops machine that the trans fluid goes through and you can watch it change from the old dark colored red fluid (worst cases black/brown) to the new light colored red/pink. I wanna say 90-95% of the fluid gets changed out, if not more.

  • @ZRider3591, That sounds good.....would this be called "full fluid exchange" rather than "flush"?

  • @mosipd Do who acually know wat im talkin about? I suggest u shut the fuck up cause my comments werent toward the video they were toward a COMMENT he made. So mind ur own fuckin business. If u get the same message twice i suggest u go brush ur teeth with a shotgun cause ur mind ur own fuckin business skills are grossly non-existent.

  • There is some cases where if the trans hasn't been maintained, the dirt in the trans is holding the components together and the flush will wipeout the trans. But if that's the case how much longer did that trans have to live anyway? Not long, a few thousand miles? Also no tech, if they're smart, will sell you the service in that case. And if you walk in requesting that service with a high mileage vehicle the advisor should worn you of the danger.
