Everex has got to be one of the worst companies. I learned the hard way with the XT5000.

I was tempted to buy one before but these are notorious for crapping out on you and extremely slow.If you really want to get one then I advise you to get the one with bit faster cpu and same price..even though that one have vista instead of XP.You can always install Linux or XP to it.Would be better with a webcam,the point of the mic w/o a cam?And I think buying the 2 yr warranty on for about $200 for a $500 pc dont make cents.Well looks pretty nice and portable if it doesn't crap out on you.

I have an Everex. My advice is STAY FAR AWAY FROM EVEREX.

1.6 GHz is not that much even with a intel core two duo. But you can upgrade the ram to compensate for it. Overall i give the notebook a 3.5/4 out of 5.

On a serious note, yes, but usually it takes a while after release for the refurbs to come in.

The damn thing has a Core 2 Duo! Shit that thing must flyyyy specially with XP. I would be bringing my CounterStrike and Team Fortress with me on my airplane trips! Thats alot more power than your typical "Arm" processors which are slow as fuck and cant even run a calculator watch cuz they suck! But this thing owns!

well anything that went wrong with them has been fixed. This of course doesnt mean that it will be bugs free. As of any other computer they still have a chance of breaking down. As long as you have a warranty (which you should always buy when u invest in something you cant afford to replace) you should be fine and worry free. Look at the savings and look at the difference in warranty price. In the end this if cheaper and should not give you anymore problems than a new one.
