This surreal artwork deals with the psychological effect that conforming to external social forces has on the mind. The figure was sculpted in Zbrush, rendered in Maya and further modified in Photoshop. I have limited edition prints on canvas available as well as less expensive unlimited poster prints. Great work, Ryan! I love all of your pieces, but this one especially! To some extent, it has given me inspiration on a piece I am currently working on. Not a copy or replica, though, do not worry. The idea, modeling, and technique is all my own. However, one thing I would like to use similarly would be your music choice. Was your music made by yourself, or is there a place where I can find more "creepy" sounding music. Thanks for all your tutorials and keep up the great work!

@Doclolwut the music was added through youtube's Audioswap feature. It's just a huge collection of music that you can chose from. Let me know when you finish your piece!

@TheClinicallyDead about a month in my spare time if I remember correctly. Thanks for the support!

Damn. I used to not care for your straight forward topology. I don't know why but I loved the idea of modelling in every bump and detail. But (after the last few projects I 've seen thus far) I see the purpose behind it and I'm in awe. Thank you for posting this as well as the Frazetta, Calvin and hobbes homage, as well as the other tutorials:)
