You should actually read what you respond to. I never called Reagan a "Dixiecrat". Not all Conservatives then were Dixiecrats, any more than saying all Conservatives today are Tea Partiers.

That said, the opponents of the CivilRights Act of1964 were self-proclaimed Conservatives and they existed in both parties.

Anyone who denies that fact is either lying or unknowledgeable on the subject.

I neither desire nor expect everyone to have the same opinions I have, but as long as those opinions are formed by processing the truth and not lies, I can appreciate and respect a different perspective. There are millions of people who lean Conservative or lean Liberal, but are rational and open-minded, and I can garner valid and useful points from both sides.

But people who choose a side and then decide that side is 100% right, 100% of the time aren't rational or knowledgeable. Just extremist.

Yes I agree, FDR and Lyndon B. Johnson were probably the only liberals I really came to respect. Times have changed for that party now.

What is wrong with you? All you do is lie and misrepresent the other point of view. No one has called for a new constitution and like most conservative extremist you have no idea what socialism is. Just keep arguing your empty points.

The fact that the confederates are in your party is very telling It is not 1860 and Black Americans today are aligned with the party that most lines up with their politics. Not the govt titty bullshit that you people love to push with the stupid assumption that by insulting us we will join you.Govt has its place but the ultimate advancement is left to the individual. I have worked my whole life, am retired and didnt ask govt for a damn thing.BTW your childish references (walmartian) Really?

is that a real question? I got chills reading "the second bill of rights.: The new democratniks think we need a new constitution, with a socialist system. The republican thinks 'equal rights' means everybody gets a right to take a shot, and if he wins or loses that's his own fate. a democratic believes in equality of outcomes, not equality of shots taken.

Get real. Every party has is freaky fringe. Its not like the democratniks don't have the wall street walmartians, throwing dirty diapers and beer cans at the young black men on their way up. And if it were 1860, those young black men and women would be allied to those whose aims furthured better education, a real chance at wealth and prosperity, not the big-government-titty welfare state flying the flag of victimhood. They were survivors who honored strength and desired victory, not victimhood.

Why would a black man vote for Romney or anyone else he shared the stage with during the GOP primaries is the more important question. This is not 1860. In 2013 the ideology of Forrest resides in the GOP. Those were not democrats waving confederate flags at tea party events

Easter was originally the celebration of Ishtar, the Assyrian and Babylonian goddess of fertility and sex. Her symbols (like the egg and the bunny) were and still are fertility and sex symbols (or did you actually think eggs and bunnies had anything to do with the resurrection?). After Constantine decided to Christianize the Empire, Easter was changed to represent Jesus. But at its roots, Easter (which is how you pronounce Ishtar) is all about celebrating fertility and sex.
