  • Hi! Many people says tone benders don't work with wah pedals.

Can you say the same for Marshall Supa Fuzz?

I've got an italian Vox Tone Bender (with sft germanium transistors), and it doesn't work with wah pedals (I've got an italian Vox from late sixties and a '76 Thomas Organ Cry Baby).

The only wah I used with satisfaction is the Colorsound.

So... do you use a wah with your Marshall Supa Fuzz? And wich is the best wah to use with it for you?

    Thanks a lot!

  • I have not used a tine bender & wah or SupaFuzz & wah. I have used the SupaFuzz and Zoom 505 pedal together and it sounded amazing. I sold the SupaFuzz and had a clone made with OC75 germanium transistors. I played it with my vintage Morely Power Wah pedal and it sounded nice... I'd suggest the Vox wah or one of the Jimi wah wah pedals... but that's just my taste in sound...

  • Where can i get one of those pedals ??

  • look on ebay, very hard to find & expensive - originals are $800+, the earlier version with printed lettering sell for more. Last one I saw on ebay was $1300. You can buy a clone copy of the pedal for about $200. cheers!

  • Hi, I have just found a Marshall Supa Fuzz, the model with black printed letters.Been in a bag for years.I will fit battery and try out. It is in very good condition,no chips, what do you think its worth these days ?

  • I will give you $112.50 for it! Actually, I might be interested in buying it if you want to sell. Reply here & we can go off-post and talk more. As with anything, market price is what somebody is willing to pay. Sounds like you have the older version, with the brown circuit board. That's a good one.

  • Folks, if you can't find or afford the Marshall Supa Fuzz, do this: Get the E.S.V. Two-Knob Bender (based on the Sola Sound Tone Bender MK II) from Build Your Own Clone.

The Tone Bender MK II and the Supa Fuzz are almost exact, except that you change two resistors (Q2's collector resistor and resistor from the base of Q1 to ground) and two capacitors (the input and the bypass) and that's it.

    The "Q" in Q1 & Q2 means Transistor.
