I just have to say you are totally right. Harvey Milk was murdered by anti-gay Dan White. Harvey wasn't at the wrong place at the wrong time he was doing his job. RIP Harvey and Mayor Moscone. Sean Penn did a brilliant job as acting as Harvey Milk.

Did White give a statement as to his motive?

I just feel it's wrong to hero-ize someone because they fell victim to an obviously disturbed individual.

He's seen as a martyr for gay rights who died for his beliefs, when, as you've explained, he apparently died due to a disgruntled former employee. Happened here in STL a year ago, a former councilman in clayton busted into a meeting and executed the whole city council.

was NOT simply in the wrong place at the wrong time; White had intention to kill him. Also, it is possible that he WAS killed because he was gay, since White was anti-gay and he and Milk had had many disputes. But, it also was probably not the only reason why he was killed.

Oh, and by the way, Sean Penn IS a heterosexual man. It's called brilliant acting.

He then went into his former office and RELOADED HIS GUN. He then found Milk, intercepted him, and asked him to step inside of his office. Milk obeyed, and stepped inside. I am afraid you are wrong on many different levels. Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone were both killed by anti-gay former supervisor Daniel James White. The whole dispute occurred because White resigned, but came back shortly after, demanding that Moscone give him his job back. Milk advised Moscone not to give it back to White, and Moscone thought it over for a few days. Once White came back on Monday, he once again demanded Moscone to give him his job back this time
