Welcome aboard British Airways flight BA0085 to Vancouver from London Heathrow. Part 2 joins us as we start our descent into Vancouver, and then onto our arrival and final approach to runway 26R, taking in some spectacular views of the scenery along the way! Local time is 18:20, with broken cloud and light winds.

Filmed exclusively in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, with some real sounds included. The aircraft shown here are Project Opensky's 747-400 v4 (used for the passenger view scenes), and with PMDG's 747-400. Scenery is the wonderful Vancouver+ by Jon Patch and Holger Sandmann. Views are assisted by Active Camera Pro and DBS walk and follow, weather and sky textures provided by Real Environment Xtreme.

Hope you enjoy it, and comments and feedback are welcome as always!

  • Heres a question. I just like landings and takeoffs so i wanted to have a flight of just landings but i cant do it myself. Like i want to land at P.Juliana on FS9 but cant be bothered to fly there. Any Ideas?

  • @turkishflight1010 Ok, well if I need to film just a landing for a video, I'll use the 'go to airport' feature of FS, and then use map view to position myself a good distance and height out from the landing runway that will give me enough time to prepare the aircraft for landing. That's not the case with this video, this was actually the end of a full flight.

  • @tjf4375 Well how do I get the map view?

  • @turkishflight1010 Sorry but this is not a flightsim support forum! If you've not discovered the map view feature yet, I suggest you follow the getting started tutorials, and take a look at the manual/help screens within FS.

  • @tjf4375 It doesnt say " Map View on the Go to aiport feature

  • @turkishflight1010 I say again, please refer to the manual/help screens within FS.

  • @boredyoman Yes, REX2004 for the skies, and Vancouver+ by FSAddon for the scenery around the airport. Both highly recommended.

  • @tjf4375 One question thou, I have fsx and have the highest quality settings running on everything, not only that but i run it on an alienware comp. But my textures nor do my sceneries look as good as what you have, Are you using an addon for mesh and the sky?
