Carlin was just an intelligent jester the rich loved using. The joke is that people thought he was for them, when he clearly said many times over during his career: I don't give a shit about people. Or I don't give a fuck, it's one of those two colorful expressions.

I'd have to say yeah, considering how there are still FM/AM stations. He could have gone satellite, or start a publishing company since he liked to write. If he wanted to continue doing stand up, he could have created his own website and promote himself that way--cut out as many middlemen as possible. Point is that considering his stature, the man had so many options to get his message across.

I feel bad for anyone who idolizes him-- HBO used him to make us look bad. I think GC knew that.

It's because the audio has one channel with reverted polarity, meaning the left channel is the exact opposite of the right channel. If you play it back on a mono device the channels get merged and you end up with the sum of both, i.e. no sound at all. This is also the reason why it sounds so hollow if you listen to this with stereo headphones.

Bullshit. George was a class-A sociopath. The scary part is that sociopaths are likable for their charming personalities. If he really wanted to, "wake people up" & not make a quick buck, he could have started up a radio show again.
