i think it's ridiculous that several people think Al Vanik didn't do a good job on the v/o for WWSB... he's a legend in the voiceover business! i think it sounded way better than this nasaly crap...

Honestly... I didn't see anything "different" with Al's voice on WWSB. It must have been on the promos or something. I really think having Al's voice on a small station like that made them seem better. Beau's voice isn't all that appealing to me. It sounds too nasally.
To each their own, I guess..and I guess I'm in the minority.

personally... I'm an Al Vanik fan. I'm a fan of plenty of the big TV news names... Charlie Van Dyke, Chris Corley, Bill Rattner, Brian Lee, Greg O'Neill... and Al Vanik is great too. I think he brings something "a little different" to the table, and certainly in a good way.

I too have a great deal of respect for Beau; I replaced him in Colorado before he went to LA. He has been very helpful to me.

I'm sorry, let me rephrase... Your voice is alright, but some of tthe ways you pronouce words I didn't like, but I guess that isn't your fault. Your voice didn't fit with WWSB/ABC 7, they need a voice like Weaver, but don't quit your day job.

Hi,.. in order to improve, what could I do so my voice would "cut it"? There is a 5pm Open for WWSB/ABC 7 that posted here that sounds good to me. What could I have done differently? Thanks for you help.
