Horn off at my favorite spot with my bud and fellow collector Shaun. The beast of a m3h ate up the air while the p3 kept on going, what a sound and a duel for the ages.

  • For those who think the P3 is a Leslie you're wrong, it's a Nathan and was popular with southern pacific and it is personally one of my favorites...

  • I was expecting it to turn into the family guy farting competition at the end...a little disappointed lol.

  • P3 blee M5 and K5LA are Kings !

  • @956rangoflex Its the leslie bark, No train horn can give that type of awesome screech accept the leslie

  • @956rangoflex It's just the way it's built. The diaphragms in the P3 are a single stainless steel disk which is (details aside) unlike the K or the M. Newer P horns have two stainless steel disks which controls the squeak (the" technical" term is a chiff).

  • most of the UP and SP GP9's all the way up to the GP-40's had it but that was dependent on what the rail road wanted and could get cheep.

  • DELIVERANCE!

  • Why does the p3 have a high pitch screech is it the horn or how slow the guy opens it

  • You should do whats called a 14L two long blasts a short and a long. BTW both horns sound nice!

  • P3 Eh?
