You can make a feeder practically out of anything. Most make hog pipes using PVC. I just used left over stuff laying around.
1). Find an old 5 gallon bucket with a lid.
2). Drill 1 1/4" hole on both sides
3). Take a 1" PVC Pipe 4-5 feet long run it completely through both holes
4). Attach a PVC T-Copling on one end. (I just drill mine so I can reuse)
5). Run a rope straight down the PVC and tie it off into a good solid knot.
6). Drill 6-8, 3/4" holes on the lid and on the side of barrel to zip strip the lid. (Do not put on zip strip until AFTER you fill bucket).
7). Drill a few 4-6, 1/4" holes on the side of the barrel for the corn to fall out of.
8). Find a location to put bucket. Lay it on the ground. Tie it off.
9). Fill it with corn, jello, hog feed, syrup, old dog food, whatever the world you want, I've even put old potato chips and pretzels in mine. If you have extra nuts and washers throw it in the bucket it. Even if its empty the hogs/coons will work the bucket thinking corn is in it. More importantly you can hear it a good 150+ yards out in the right wind.
10). Seal the lid.
11). Zip strip it shut.
Will last about 6 months until the coons rip massive holes in the bucket. Go to construction sights, new neighborhoods being built ect. and ask for this stuff laying around. The only purchase I had to make was the rope, a $.65 PVC T-Copling, and a $1.25 lid.

if it works in the past, it has no problem working today. like that the small holes keep them at it. chewing.
