I think that this is interesting because motherboard manufacturers are sort of just acknowledging Linux based systems as the way to go for the future even while they are keeping windows around. This combo is sweet. I like their style.

Its not about speed of starting internet browser or something else, its about boot speed and battery life, and this splash top can not fully replace OS installed on hdd. But i like it alot!!!! only 4sec to boot up and battery life of 16hours.... Mmmmmhhhmmmmm!!!!

hmmm.. Am I the only one to notice that the Internet Browser took exactly 20 seconds to boot up? XP boots in 30 seconds... whats the point? That thing better be up in less then 5 seconds if you want to impress me.

I know Steve Ballmer _looooooves_ developers.... but I bet he _hates_ the developers of Splashtop. :-)

Mac OS boot in more like minutes, that seconds. Last OS that booted in seconds was minikernel Amiga OS, with a 68060 O/C to 66Mhz and UW SCSI 10kRPM HDD it took 3 sec measured to boot, 5 with reset. Probably about 10 with power on, due to the longer inicialization of Amiga 4000 and the Phase 5 Cyberstorm PPC hardware as well, as spinning the disk up. Mac OS is slow like Vista crap. I like my Win2k SP4 far more, even the boot IS slow. At least it did not kill yourselfs as XP do, when O/C unstable
