I have a 2008 macpro dual 2.88g. Full price. I received it 24hrs before the new model was released. I asked if I could upgrade to the nehalem release. The Brisbane rep said no way because it had been taken out of the box. Totally en-ethical. They are crooks.

As for performance it is way slower than my core i7965 pc. Maybe 20 - 30% slower. Windows does NOT run better on bootcamp. OSX has occasional errors. Apple are too stupid to enable sli graphics.

Mac is a con. Steve Head-Jobs is a cunt.

@MapleMeadows it's called upgrading your hardware. The tech world moves fast. If you buy a 2010 macbook compared to a 2005 PC, it's common sense it will be more up to date

you are totally right, computers should be all about functionality, mac computers are so much more expensive and such a pain in the ass to use, there are several programs i have wanted to use that just arent compatible with a mac (or you have to be julian assange to figure it out) all the basic paint/write/etc programs are far superior on pcs, the way you can stretch things out to the size you want is so convenient, macs look more sheik but they are totally inferior in functionality

I just feel like Windows run slower than Mac. Macs just have quick speed and included software that I love to use. I don't like that you have to purchase Windows software (like Microsoft Word) and that it's not included (on the Mac). Quality imagery on Mac. PC is good though because I feel really homey on it. I mean that the organization and usage of control panel is easy access for example.

Why resells on Mac are good is because they actually last. I have gone through 4 or 5 PCs between 1999-2009. But in 2010 I got my first MacBook and it runs as smoothe as a day I got it. I will never look back to Windows.
