www.WoodwardCrossings.com -- FlyFish Central PA while staying in one of our fully equipped Vacation Rentals at Woodward Crossings Guest Lodge in Woodward, Pennsylvania. Not only do the rolling meadows, the majestic mountains and the patchworked countryside beckon the traveler, so do the limestone streams --gently flowing through farms and fields. These renowned streams yield plentiful populations of trout making Central PA a Mecca for fisherman nationally and internationally.
Located amidst some of the best fishing spots in the East, Woodward Crossings boasts Pine Creek frontage restricted only to our guests and accommodations that will keep you coming back year and after year.
Over 50 miles of World Class Wild Trout Fishing is Just Minutes Away! Pine Creek is on grounds, an exceptional quality stream with native Brown Trout, and--Elk Creek, Big Fishing Creek, Spring Creek, and Fishermans Paradise are just miles away—but the closest and best is none other than Penns Creek at Coburn.
I agree! Open areas are wonderful! However, the small portion of Pine Creek that is on our private property has been abused historically. With the public welcome to be on our land, we encountered drunkenness, garbage, overfishing and so much more. Restricting this small portion of our personal backyard has allowed our guests to enjoy privacy and cleanliness as well as a chance for repopulation of the fish.

Brown trout are not native to North America.

Brown Trout were imported to the United States around 1890 and from those eggs we now have populations of Brown Trout all over America. When I say "native Brown Trout" I am referring to the fact that they are naturally here and not stocked.
