shredsterAK, so if anyone expresses fear that something bad is going to happen, they have faith in he wrong kingdom? So in Matthew 24 & 25, Mark 16, & Luke 21, parrallel accounts of what is known as the Olivet discourse, when Jesus predicts that bad things are going to happen, He has faith in the wrong kingdom???? Surely you can't be serious. Paul also writes in 2 Tim 4, about bad things that will happen, is he also in the wrong? Plus God clearly limited Satan's hand regarding Job.

@BigAl53750 Satan did not ask permission to attack Job. Satan asked GOD to strike him. God responded by pointing out that everything Job owned was already in Satan's possession, because Job was in fear (verses 4 and 5). Fear means you believe something bad is going to happen, its faith in the wrong kingdom.

Jesus did NOT fast His way into a level of faith because He was God. God does NOT need faith, we do! The Bible clearly states that in Jesus dwells the fulness of the Godhead bodily, so what on earth would He need to fast to gain faith for? Also, Bill constructs several 'straw-men' here, so he can knock them down and 'prove' his points. The Bible again clearly teaches that God is absolutely in control, because in Job, Satan has to ask permission to attack Job. God allows it, but within limits.

@taylortyrel But in order for the thief to operate he must have permission from god as you read in job. God is not waiting for humans to give the reigns back to him that is why we preach a god-centered gospel not a man-centered one. when god gave dominion to man it wasnt the dominion you preach. as if god is in heaven with his fingers crossed waiting for man to choose him. god initiates salvation then man chooses so the choice is secondary.

God gave the dominion (power and authority) of the earth to man. Meaning God gave US control, we need to just give the reigns back to Him. Also, if a thief is here to kill, steal and destroy, and God came to give life, the death of a baby clearly falls under the thief. Lets not get the roles mixed up. If God was in control, we wouldn't have the choice to follow Him or not.

IM SORRY BILL BUT GOD IS IN CONTROL.. TO SAY THAT HE IS NOT IN CONTROL IS BOASTING.. ITS KIND OF LIKE SAYING; I CHOSE TO FOLLOW CHRIST BECAUSE OF A GOOD DECISION I MADE... GOD CONTROLS EVERY THING EVEN THE DEATH OF A BABY..AS BAD AS IT SOUNDS REMEMBER WHO EVEN TAUGHT YOU WHAT BAD IS AND WHAT GOOD IS..ALL GLORY TO GOD! HIS WAYS AND THOUGHTS ARE HIGHER THAN OURS.
