The adrenal glands are end-organs that are merely responding to what they are told to do. If they are not producing enough cortisol, perhaps it is not the adrenal glands that are dysfunctional, but rather other elements of your physiology that needs addressing.

  • aaaahhhhhhh! Now I am more stressed! don't know what to do, what to take, where to start or what to heal now;-( and doctors want me to cover things up with prozac! ;-( God help us!

  • I still say 9 times out of 10, fatigue is a blood sugar issue.

You might get energy from a starch or sugar source for a few days then wake up, eat that same food and nothing.

I think the real means of battling fatigue is learning what starches and sugars you respond to best and how to cycle them. I do best off white starches so white rice, potatoes or even a couple slices of pizza will let me run like a machine but I also have to take days off. Fruits and juices are really best for mornings.

  • So what do I do then? I'm always tired, I crave sugar, fall asleep at 3, can't work out long, no libido, the vid didn't say what to take.

  • Great series! Makes me wonder whether biologic TNF suppressing drugs (e.g., Embrel) raise cortisol as a by product? Is that why many of us with RA feel better when on a TNF suppressor? And feel even better when we take prednisone? Wonder if TNF suppressors would help Chronic Fatigue, another condition characterized by low cort?

  • what caused ur hair loss?

  • A little bit of knowledge can be dangerous - adrenal fatigue sounds plausible but without any understanding of the relationship between the glands and hormone production you can really get confused and perhaps taken advantage of. Thank you for this information. It is invaluable in helping to make sure I make the right decisions for treating my symptoms. And that I don't buy into the hype. I feel less stressed already! LOL

  • fantastic talk...u only made 3 videos, right??? need to see more on diabetes and cortisol managements, thanks- Shahid
