@kingachybraky ok then riddle me this, if the courts and DA would actually prosecute these men, then why haven't they already, wouldn't the citizens arrest be unnecessary if they sought prosecution ? detention is only a small part fo an arrest, even a Canuck like me knows that. I may not know American law well but I know the fundamentals of law. Arresting someone no one will prosecute may end up getting your own ass prosecuted

@kingachybraky well since I have proven my ignorance let me ante up. even though the truth of my statements is evident in the reality we live in. Code pink is a hypocritical front group. I see no demonstrations about Obama, despite him ramping up Afghanistan. Now I think Obama is right to ramp it up because for years its been up to England and Canada as well as other NATO countries to pick up the US slack in Afghanistan, but I doubt Code Pink agrees with me.

@kingachybraky Americans are oallowed only under certain circumstances and if that were valid then Cheney et al would already be in custody. Reality is different from fantasy and a citizen cannot arrest a man unless the legal system will back them, which in this case it clearly won't. I call bollocks on your tea party accusation though. About two dozen of our citizens have been indicted in France. Americans are allowed to make citizens arrests whenever the local law enforcement refuses to do so.

The point I was getting at is that Code Pink does not have a reputation for being violent while the Tea Party has a long history of attacking anyone that voices an opposing belief.

@kingachybraky I'm not for violence, and I understand some of your states have some screwed up rules and laws, but reason should rule not emotion. Ann Coulter was in Ottawa recently and one of her protestors went on days later to assault a young Italian Canuck for being a "zionist pig" etc. I don't for a second think this persons irrational hatred of Jews should colour all of Coulters Canuck detractors as anti semitic violent thugs. you get my point ?
