Under my intravenous sedation, putting of PINS on fractured segments is vital to the healing process. Long time ago, fractures were managed by casting after close reduction, manipulation aimed at aligning the displaced segments of the fractures site. Nowadays, introducing pins connecting the distal and proximal segments carries high cure rate, thereby reducing the chance of displacements while undergoing recovery. Usually for children the healing process of the bones takes place within a minimum or more than thirty(30) days. The pin is safely removed thereafter with ease.
