Adirondack & St. Lawrence 6076 (high hood GP9) is pulling the Adirondack Scenic Ralroad train on the Lake Placid and Saranac lake branch. Departing from Lake Placid station, the train winds through 10 miles of scenic mountains and wetlands to Saranac Lake Station. Power is reversed and the GP9 runs long hood forward back to Lake Placid. This is a fine operation, the folks who run this line are very friendly and enjoy railroading.
