My first traditional pin up style with bangs! This one includes a new take on 'pig tails' and would be great for daytime events Don't forget to rate and subscribing!.

  • I love your bangs! I want to cut bangs but have really thin hair and don't want to have them be too wispy or have to use 1/2 my head to create full bangs that give the right look. Any advice?

  • @pvbrooks I suggest playing around w/ them (or having your stylist do that) until you achieve the right look. :)

  • How is your hair cut? It looks layered? It seems to work/look great with any of the hairstyles.

  • @kiddosthang yes this is a traditional 1940's haircut called The Middy. I did a video on it...look in my Authentic Vintage Hair Techniques playlist. :)

  • Just had a rough practice go at this one with last nights half-curls and loved it. It also looks really cute with a rolled scarf / headband tied round as the little curly buns peek round either side. I'm thinking this will be my new favourite daytime / casual updo for summer. Would look extra cute with Freddies dungarees I think. Thanks Lisa x

  • Lisa, I must say that you do an excellent job of recreating all these different looks! :)

I find that the Rosie the Riveter was difficult for me, in the process of pinning my hair up; I have curly hair with 'lots of volume. . .just by curiosity, what kind of vintage styles would you recommend for my hair type?

  • @LisaFreemontStreet you're right, i never thought about it that way. i like it now. :D

  • @xmissmandymousex why? I think a lot of people are missing the point...it's not in praise of 'skinny girls'. It was written during a time when skinny women were extremely unpopular...curvy girls were the norm. Therefore, his love for skinny girls was unusual...'people tell me I'm a fool to love a girl like that...' Having been a horribly skinny child, it always made me feel better about myself. Probably like 'Fat Bottomed Girls' by Queen did for 'rockin' girls' worldwide.

  • @xmissmandymousex like lyrics wise.

  • the song annoys me but the hair is cute. XD

  • LOVE :)

  • This one is still my favourite. (And I love that you show the back at the end at the video).
