  • Wow, thanks for posting! Love the Doran bros. I have never had a chance to see many pictures of Felix's set. I never realized how narrow the chanter is, but I guess it makes since. All it really needed to be was the size of the bore!

  • @Legertymusic Thats true about the bore and a very comfatable set of pipes to have on n play aswell.

  • Brilliant stuff simon! the tunes in manchester where great last year! hope to see you at the doran weekend at the end of april! Have you read the book yet? tommy and olvier really did a great job on it!

  • @tadhgmulligan hi there great to here from yourself n hope yee are all well, i really enjoyed the tunes in manchester aswell. Don't know about doran weekend yet ? and the book that was written well by tommy n oliver it's great to see it especially for the travellers, hope to have a few tunes with yourself again all the best.

  • This is fabulous - I've been trying to find recordings of the Dorans - thanks very much for uploading this. I heard a recording of Felix Doran playing 'The Dear Irish Boy' at a concert in Manchester in the '60's which I thought was the best and most moving Interpretation I've ever heard. Would love to hear it again if you have it and can upload it? Thanks again!

  • @MrPatch6 hi just found the track of the dear irish boy i will post it soon sorry about the wait?
