There's a storm gathering. The clouds are dark, and the winds are strong, and I am afraid. Some who advocate for same-sex marriage have taken the issue far beyond same-sex couples.They want to bring the issue into my life. My freedom will be taken away. I'm a California doctor who must choose between my faith and my job. I'm part of a New Jersey church group punished by the government because we can't support same-sex marriage. I'm a Massachusetts parents helplessly watching as public schools teach my son that gay marriage is OK.

But some who advocate for same-sex marriage have not been content with same-sex couples living as they wish. Those advocates want to change the way I live. I will have no choice. The storm is coming.

But we have hope! A rainbow coalition of people of every creed and color are coming together in love to protect marriage.

The real issue? GBTLs will have all of the privileges that come with marriage. 1. Pension plan survivor benefits 2. Guaranteed leave when a family member is ill 3. Long-term care insurance for public employees 4. Tax exemption of inheritance 5. Spousal veteran benefits 6. Ability to not testify against spouse 7. Property tax and home value can be reassessed after death of spouse (meaning taxes can skyrocket) 8. Tax exemption of assets over $11,000 between spouses 9. Shared property 10. Marriage

Homosexuality is not a lifestyle choice. Talking with a lisp, wearing pink, moving to San Francisco and waving a gay pride flag is a lifestyle choice. Homosexuality is something you are born with, same as heterosexuality. By saying that you would have to maintain that sexual orientation as a whole is a choice. Did you choose to be straight? Based on the way you use the term liberal I highly doubt you understand how the political spectrum works. I can understand that you believe that homosexuality is immoral (because that's what this is about, it has nothing to do with marriage) and that you believe that it is a choice and something a child could be somehow brainwashed into.
